You could go to your local Cartier shop/dealer and ask, they should know. I don't think there is another way, watches don't have serial numbers or things like that to track them online, although it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
